Contact: Jorge Frascara <frascara@ualberta.ca>
Deadline for submission of abstracts: 15 November 2014.

The fields of medicine, pharmacy, public health and other related areas, are becoming more conscious of the contribution design can make, and there is a growing need for designers to acquire the necessary information and skills required in this area. We to increase  our collective knowledge of the work done in the intersection between design and health.

Considering this situation, Visible Language is preparing a special issue on design and health and has asked me to act as guest editor. This issue is planned to be the first of 2015.

If you are interested in having a case study considered for the special issue of Visible Language, please send a one-page abstract to Jorge Frascara <frascara@ualberta.ca> by November 15, 2014.

The abstract should include topic description, research question, method description and conclusion. The editorial advisors will review the abstracts and invite authors to submit full papers. These will be due by January 15, 2015, and will be peer-reviewed as all articles published in Visible Language

Accepted papers will be returned for minor editing by January 30, and final deadline will be February 14, 2015.
